SciFi and Fantasy Art: Leila key poses

Four animation key poses of my anthro avian character Leila drawing back in anticipation of bending to grab something she's seen on the ground. I love the expressions in this. Red pencil and graphite pencil.

I agree; the last one has the best expression, but I like the 3rd one's pose.

It's a . . . duck? ~boggles~ Very interesting and a well done body. Rather Disneyish.

sheesh..peoples.. NO DIP it will be disney_ish.. she's going to be a Disney animator for crying out ever so loud! Don't be afraid to try different styles tho.. it just my opinion..but I try every style I come across once in a while.. and truth be told it does work out if you perfect ralistic first and then move onto cartoonish stuff ^_^ oh.. and I agree with who said that.. she happens to be my art teacher =) ^_^

donald duck as a woman. add more of your own touch to it, and take the disney element away.

Artist's Reply: I add the Disney element on purpose - I want to work for Disney. It helps to be able to draw in their style; in fact, having talked to the woman in charge of hiring new animators, I can tell you that it's actually a requirement to draw in their style. I have my own, but I generally use theirs out of choice. And as such, you've given me a compliment by recognising that. 2

This looks nothing like "Donald Duck as a woman". Geez.. Tania, you managed to draw in the Disney style while still making her your own distinct character. KUTGW

It's all very well done...I couldn't draw that. I'm just not quite clear on what she's wearing from the waist down. If that's a loincloth, it should show a little movement.

*grin* Great job! I wish you only the best of luck in working with Disney... you certainly have the talent for it. And if you can get DarkWing Duck back on the air, you'd be, like, my best friend... 12

Disney Shmisney! This is better than some of the stuff I've seen in Disney movies. Keep up the good work!
