SciFi and Fantasy Art: Anguish

Well, Lucas Williams envied James his picture for his poem, and i needed a project to let me play with Photoshop. I will get the hang of this damned program if it kills me. Well Lucas I hope you like it:) <br> Please go and visit Lucas in his Library, the poem this is inspired by is <http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/libr/l/u/luc/anguish_.htm.html> I hope you enjoy his work as much as I did.

Aaaah! i love it! very expressive and the colors are so well emerged!!! The center eyes looks a bit..Well, like they don't quite fit in there. You migth wanna try adding another layer( you said it was photoshop so i wouldnt damage the pic) and see if you can get those eyes to fall in love with the rest of the colors...mmm...This is truely a magnificant pic. *nods*

Wow, this is so tense and wild, yet it's still well thought out and organized. to a scatterbrain like me, that's magic! I love everything that this picture is doing.

I like all of the layering of colors. I like the big eyes, they stand out a lot. Cool picture. Very nice.

It almost feels like the colors used themselves are the darker emotions that feed this picture.. The anguish of the person trapped inside of them. I don't think it's a monster at all.. I think it's a human, being drowned in the nightmares anguish can cause. Beautiful.

:-) Tansy Pye replies: "I think it's great so many people see deeper meanings in this picture. It makes it one of the most successful pieces i have in the gallery i think. "

All i can say is amazing, would you mind if i used this for my art exam, i mean copy it into my sketchbook? Its so cool

:-) Tansy Pye replies: "Of course I would be honoured if you are so inspired as to create your own piece. I ask only that whatever you create you share with us by creating your own gallery here in the woods. By interpreting it in your own way you will make it yours. Reference the original if you post in the elfwood. "

this picture is truly an amazing piece of art. It seems so simple with one glass but you can see the fine details if you explore. The use of color is really good, too. Conflict attracts the human eye, so I guess that's another reason this is so appealing.

good job.
