SciFi and Fantasy Art: Happy Halloween

This is a picture mostly of my friend's cat called polly. she was really ill this halloween and noone thought she would make it, so I painted this as a memorial, but she pulled through, so I changed it to a celebration and will give it to them as a present anyway:)... I havent quite finished with the colours yet, so I ran this one through a filter. I like this filter, makes it loo like an old book illustration,

Alas poor Polly did not make it to this halloween, a well meaning neighbor saw the frail and aged cat on the pavement outside her house and mistaking her for a neglected stray took her to the RSPCA. She did not survive the trauma and died over night at the vets. Poor Polly we will all miss her.

22 Jun 2002	Norma Peters	Loading... I adore cats, and found the story so touching. This is a wonderful tribute to the precious creature. The lovely glowing background is such a lovely backdrop for the figure of the cat, portrayed with beautiful realism.
