Ohh, you'll think this is weird, the first thing i notice about this picture is the hands. I guess maybe because Death usually has skeletal hands or not shown hands, and it's cool to see something different, like it makes Death almost, this is going to sound dumb, almost human.

I also like the shading you've used, but i think you could make more of it, like with the folds in the cloak, and also i think the darkness inside the hood shuld be darker. like more contrasting. OOooooh and i LOVE the scythe. It looks so metallicy and real !
