SciFi and Fantasy Art: Strider

'I think said Frodo, one of the enemy spies would - well, seem fairer and feel fouler,if you understand'. I see laughed Strider. I look foul and feel fair, is that it?...all that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost....

Wow, this picture is amazing. In fact, your entire gallery is amazing. I have to say, we have fallen a long, long way, when people are making comparisions of this image to the 'movie' Aragorn, when you've obviously been inspired by the actual books, most likely long before the movies were ever made. The power of books is that they create images out of words, rather than spoon feeding us scenes - something that the MTV generation doesn't seem to have a grasp of. Wonderful work! Keep updating your gallery please 1

@ nicole: Leave us MTV generationers alone... SOME of us read the books looong before the movies. 10 Seriously though, I do think Aragorn looks a bit too old... But I've always pictured him thirtish-fourtish as well... I think it's the grey hair, and also that Aragorn's line lived a lot longer than other men... and he was about 60, not 80, majik. But it's still a very good drawing, nonetheless...

Your interpretations are awexome and all.. But most of your characters come out being really ugly... Not that its a bad thing but i would love to see what you could do with pretty humans and dwarves and what not..... This picture is fantastic by the way... Except i picture aragorn less... About to retire?.... Or something...

I quite like this interpretation of the character... you did an excellent job on it.

Strider is supposed to be young and handsome. And I hate to tell but this guy looks old.

:-) Terry .A. Ernest replies: "Brigid, Brigid...Brigid! your so lucky, you have not read the book yet have you .... 1"
