SciFi and Fantasy Art: Facial Profile

I tried to draw my wife's face from a picture, and kinda botched! Be gentle, it's only my second close up of a face EVER!

I like the flowery tattoo looking thing on her cheek...and the wreath of flowers looks nice...and the face looks pretty good for only your second attempt...keep at it and you'll get it in no time...I would give advice...but uh...I'm not real great with faces either O_o

Tadd - You have captured the spirit within your lovely wife. She has a hypnotic, ethereal look! Real nice!

I think this is marvelous, especially for only your second one ever. Each one you do will be better--like the last commentor said. I've got a little bit of advice for you, though I do think it's beautiful all on its own...In a turned-head shot like this, you want to make the eye that's farther away a bit smaller--helps with the perspective. It's gorgeous though, and it looks like she's dreaming 2

This is good, you have the structure and it's a solid drawing. You have to forget about outlining everything and try to define shapes with lights and darks, in leiu of lines... This is good, so don't be too hard on yourself, be patient and just keep doing more, you'll find each one gets better than the last *smiles*.

those flowers and leaves are beautiful, and for your second portrait this is great. just one quick thing, try making the pupils larger. oh yeah, and that tattoo is so spiffy!

Quite beautiful! It might look better with some more contrast and shading, but it's mighty nice as is.

Love the tattoo, but maybe you should make the pupils bigger on the eyes... right now they're far too small. But the flowered wreath around her head is very well done!

just work on your shading and your eyes. Great job for second face pic.

I like it, the only problem., is the eyebrows. They are too close to the eyes., other then that, it looks generally good...Well the nose is a bit big, and the hair line is too straight, and 1 more thing, the eyes are too close to the top of the head...... The nose seems too long, srry if i seem like i am putting your art work down , it looks cood, but i am currently in an art course that corectly shows you how to draw a face, which is why these things stuck out at me.
