SciFi and Fantasy Art: Monstrex

Another Rifts-based picture of an A.I. controlled killing machine, seen here in a swamp hunting for biological prey. The beast was an ink drawing that got scanned in and colored in photoshop. I used layers upon layers to render the environment. I chose to put him in muck because the original picture ran off the page (so it had no feet!)-it's a bad habit of mine to forget the dimensions of the page I'm working on... I had great fun swapping pallettes and seeing the beast in all different colors. Try it sometime!! c.1996

I hate it when I run out of space on the paper. Nice job with the mtal armor. The green patches make it look bio-mechanical.

*shudders* I would hate to run into one of those. Even if I was in a UAR-1 or similar devastating device. Great work!

This is a very nice rendering of the MonstreX. I'd like to see a cleaner version of the piece.

Your attention to detail is quite good, and I really like the color scheme!

A.R.C.H.I.E really understands human fears, doesn't he? Great job on this one! I would love to have you doing some art for any one of my games. My only question is, do you do original designs, or just renderings of other people's ideas? I would love to see some of your original stuff.
