SciFi and Fantasy Art: A New Day

This started out as an exercise in integrating 3d with a 2d background. This has to be one of the most extensive post rendered editing I've done on an image, mostly to soften the hair. The background was done with Terragen and the editing was done in PaintShopPro

Perhaps if you'd added a touch of gradual depth blurring to the background like a photograph, you'd have us all fooled! I like this image, the figure on the left is the most striking and really seems as though he's part of the whole 3D, not rendered over a 2D image.

13 Apr 2000	Tina 'Tygerlander' Law-Walls	Loading... Thanks. This was one of the very few images that I did a few drafts. This final result was after a couple of consultations with the Poser Forum. The background image was done in with this freeware graphics program, Terragen.

16 Jun 2000	John Teall	Loading... i have yet to get terragen to cooperate that well - undoubtedly i have givin in far too readily to finding other methods for the moment more expedient - i do love how this came out - and i do applaud the efforts of the folks at terragen - certainly can't argue with the price - ... ~
