SciFi and Fantasy Art: WindWhistler

My favorite of my recent drawings. I have always had trouble drawing hands for some strange reason. So, I sat down to draw a hand in different positions using my own hand as a visual tool. When I was done with this pose I didn't want to just leave it or toss the drawing out. I decided to put my favorite little pixie roleplaying character on it. And there she is just as I picture her. Unfortunately, when copying the image to the computer it lost some of its shading, but I think it still looks okay.

Wonderful way of turning a hand study into and interesting and lovely picture. Excellent work on the hand and the faerie is perfect...really making her look tiny in comparison.

That's the spirit. Focus on the weaknesses you perceive to turn them into your strengths. Geez, I sound like a fortune cookie.

She is the sweetest most delecate think i ever saw... You should darken it up a bit on the original. that will help the scanning... As for the hand, that is prety good but it still needs work.. hans are hard though so dont give up

Ya, you're better at hands than me. I hate hands...... and feet. The pixie's adorible! *can't hug her without crushing her, so sends in Tisi to hug her for me*

Ah yes, I remember the difficulty learning to draw proper hands. It is well know among professionals that hands are one of the most difficult things to learn. You have done a wonderful job here. Take heart, your talent is obvious.

The hand is very well done, beautiful shading, and the fairy is so delicate and beautiful. The only criticm i have to make is you need to take the bottom part of the and down a bit lower. I looks to short. Other than that the fingers are georgeous. Well done

i think you did a great job on the shading, fairy and finger... the only thing that i point out, is the lower part of the hand. I suggest you should make it bigger cause it makes the fingers look too large and look like Yoda... hehe it is just that little detail, the rest is pretty nice!
