SciFi and Fantasy Art: M is for Minotaur

This is another illustration I drew for my sister's fantasy ABC book. I'm generally not very good at anthros but he turned out alright.

Now, I say this because I tend to think of myself as a Greek mythology buff, it's not that I'm insanly jealous of your talent or anything...**shifty eyes**

ANYway, the minotaur was ACTUALLY a great beast with the head and shoulders of a bull and the body of a man. It fed on human flesh and lived at the heart of a giant maze called the Labryinth.

Now that THAT'S out of the way, I can tell you how absolutely adorible this is!! Excellent use of texture, I can practically feel is fur..um..hide..er..you know what I mean! Anyway, this is adorable, that's my point.

I've seen minotaurs both ways; with a human lower body and this type. I love both of them! Great job on this one, I didn't think it was possible to make an innocent-looking minotaur!
