SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gryphon stained glass window

I did the scetch while watching a boring TV-show and I liked it so I coloured it with pencils. Its not the very best of my pictures but I like the colours and the idea. Now here is the rescan... I worked over it again with photoshop, trying to use effects and filters which would make it look like it would be a real window, inclusive the cloudy sky you see shining through. I don`t know if it is better or not, I know Tralfy liked the old version more, I prefer the new at the moment. Please tell me your mind.

I think it's a wonderful stained glass design... would you let me make it into "real" stained glass someday??? ("real" because it's paint on glass not actual colored glass pieced together but it looks pretty real!)

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "That would be a GREAT favour for me, you know. Its my dream, that someone makes my windows real. I don`t have the money for doing such myself, also I wouldn`t know where.... but don`t forget to send me a photo, when you have done, so I know it has become truth!"

Sorry for being late... my e-mail accounts are really slow in the moment...

After I read a few comments to your wonderful stained glass gryphons, I have got an idea. Maybe you heard of it... these colors you can use to decorate mirrors, glass and tiles, window glass colors... or just called window color. I have done a few stained glass *copies* with these colors, they look almost like real stained glass! Because you can use Silver, Bronze, Gold or Pearly outline window color... and there are special dozzles you can put on these small window color bottles to make very very thin lines. I have a big set of about 20 or more colors and use them very often. I can try to make a replica of your stained glass creations and send them to you... If you want, you can put the dry *foly picture* on every smooth surface *expect plastics*

*waves happily*

1 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "wow, that would be so great, thank you! Of course I would love you 8told you that already via Email...) thats a really good idea. I think IF window colour works with my stained glass pictures this one really would be the best motive for that Technic..."

I can't believe I didn't comment on this one before! I love stained glass and this one is beautiful. I hope someday you do paint this one with those special paints. it would be gorgeous!

1 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you so much! I hope as well I'll do so. Yes, it would really make a groovy window I think. I am obsessed with stained glass myself. I love the shining through colours of them!"

Wow! Do you know how much i would love it if that was my bedroom window?? Its absolutely gorgeous! It looks kinda like a medieval tapestry in style. Kudos!

13 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you very much. Perhaps you could do something like that with those Window colours or such if you want it for your window. Or print it out on transparent film or something. You know creating windows is much fun, even on paper. especially when the result is that nice people like it!"

Hi Freawyn! Cool picture! 2 I like such "stained glass" art very much. I've always wanted to try this style myself, but haven't done it yet. This one has a nice warm and positive feeling.

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you very much, Esther. as you may guess, I love stained glass absoluteley, but doing it on paper or with Photoshop is maybe something different then really doing it, which I never could right now... sigh..."

Pretty! I love gryphons! I'd love to do this one in glass (I make actual stained glass windows and stuff) But I did one with allot of feathers like that and I REALLY not keen on cutting a ton of feathers again anytime soon. Props for the gorgeous gryphon design!
