| 13 Nov 2003 | Chelsea Maeve Fitzgerald | *tear* I'm such a sap for romantic looking pics *starts clapping* Bravo! The way you colored this pic is wonderful. Keep up the good work. Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you very muc. Yes, this is kind of sad, even romantic... Thalion never got Caithlyn the way you see it on the picture. Not it THAT life, at least... but meanwhile both of them have the third life, and meanwhile they got couples..." | |
| 21 Nov 2003 | Eric Rodney Vondell (Tralfy) | Ohhh. I'm late again. Drat!...But, this is fabulous work! It looks very much like it could be the cover art for a Mystic Romance Novel! It makes me think of The Harper Hall novels for some reason. I love the Dragon Circle in the Background. Very Celtic with Oriental feeling thing! Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Yes, Tralfy, it IS cover art for a romantic novel, kind of! Its the cover for the Thalion and Caithlyn story which was a "project" Christel and I had long ago before gryphon and phoenix. It was the first story we wrote on together. But meanwhile the four title charas (those two here and the two other ones) are also parts of gryphon and phoenix. Thank you for liking it! The border, BTW, was a copyright free border I have seen in the Dover artbooks, a celtic one, which I drawed once more and coloured it. I am not good in doing celtic borders all myself, I bet." | |
| 26 Feb 2004 | Kristina 'Aryana' Siers | That's beautiful! I like the character's poses and her dress! Can I find the story behind this somewhere? Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "errrr... where to read it? Could be difficult. Christel and me wrote that story in a time when we didn't have a PC, so we never had digitalized the whole thing. Perhaps once I should try it with Textbridge or such... but even then it would be very much stuff to read. But perhaps you could ask Christel, perhaps she has a better idea or parts of the story in some of her Fanzines. I don't really know.... Thank you for liking this. I think this one and the other one belonging to the story are really kinds of the best newer artwork I did... I am glad when somebody tells me that she / he likes it too! It means very much to me you know." | |
| 20 Mar 2004 | Christel 'Kris' Scheja | As freawyn said - although the two seem to be depicted as lovers, they did not really become mates. For a short time Caithlyn loved Thalion, but I think, she also saw in him her father, whom she has lost very early. And because of Thalions "problem" (a demoness took him something) he could only feel for her as a father. But when he became whole again for a short time - Caithlyn was long married to Rienuth (he is on the other picture of "Fireyircle") - the tragedy began. I am really sorry, that I can not publish the story any more, because I have no time to write over 300 pages from paper in the computer, only the first 20 pages I published once in my "Legendensänger-Edition". Maybe there comes a time. Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Yes. Its a pity that we cannot publish all our old or new stories, because they are bound to a book and some of them are not even on PC. Perhaps I really should try out how good Textbridge is able to scan the old stories and find out what they mean, but that would really mean much work. I am glad you wrote down parts of what happened here for those who are interested in the story. And yes, people who know the german language really may order Christels Legendensänger edition fanzines. They are worth it! Nice stories and picture from Hobby artists on paper..." | |
| 22 Mar 2004 | Claudia Tautges | So very good. Great linework and colouring and a beautiful motive. Wowie! Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Wow, thank you. I never would have suspected that this picture would get so many - and so nice comments..." | |
