SciFi and Fantasy Art: A paperdollHi girls, here is something to play with, hehehe... This is Framhorn Ayankh-Taiu, one of the main charas from gryphon and Phoenix, as a paperdoll with two of his outfits, his egypt one and one which he would call 'official robe'. Maybe I will create some more, during ten years of story Framhorn had more outfits, especially because he isn`t one of Erlinnons leader persons but has learned to be tailor as well... The picture is made with Photoshop, with a little bit anatomical help from Poser! | |
 | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 22 Aug 2003 | Rachel Rogers | Very neat idea. **First comment jig** Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you very much! I had a paperdoll of him before, made on real paper, cut out and then used him for doing some clothes. I simply lost it. I did serveral paperdolls on paper through the years, this is my first one with PC, which makes it much easier." | |
| 29 Sep 2003 | Eric R. Vondell ~ 'Tralfaz Aquilleon' | Nifty! Taking lessons from Tralfy, now are we and making actual models of your characters?*hehe*..I wonder what I could do with a Vahrushi character as a paper doll????? Not that Vahrushi wear much clothing, but, they DO have "Outfits" (Phoenix Day Costume, Sandals, Harness, capes, hats, Jewelry and so on)...Maybe I will try my talons at Paper Dolls.....=^-^=.. Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Well, I had a paper doll of him long before, you know. it simply got lost and so I HAD to do a new one. Yeah, why not doing a vahrushi paperdoll? Its much work, but also fun to have. I would think its great... another paperdoll which I could include to my collection, perhaps..." | |
| 14 Feb 2004 | Santiago Iborra | So this is it, it looks great! I like how you've made the egyptian outfit, specially that thing that goes over the shoulder (I don't know how it's named) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Oh, thank you, Santiago! Your own paperdolls are so much better then this! And no - I don't know what it is called either, I bet..." | |
| 20 Mar 2004 | Christel 'Kris' Scheja | Nice Idea ... and he looks really silly if you mix up his garbs! Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Hehe.. I didn't try out that so far. I really have to print him out once more and cut him off myself to try it out. And I really have to do more of his clothes, as promised. At least Framhorn had many outfits during all those years." | |
| 7 Apr 2004 | Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova | Aaaaaaaaa, so cool! Paperdolls were my favorite toys when I was a little girl, I remember drawing tons of outfits for my dolls and of course I drew my dolls by myself. And I love your dolly, I want to print it, cut him out and play! ) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you very much. yes I played as well a lot with paperdolls when I was a child, and so the idea for this one was logically...hehe... I will make more clothing for him in the future perhaps, and if you want to prit him out please do so, just he is a little bit small I bet. I really could imagine very good a paperdoll your style, made with Freehand instead of Photoshop. I am sure it would look groovy. You know how to work with colours and have always so good ideas, so I am sue I would love it (I love paperdolls still and collect them but nowadays don't cut them out but save them for costume ideas and such)" | |
| 20 Jun 2004 | Kristina 'Aryana' Siers | I love this one! Playing around with Fram's clothing! As Christel said, looks funny when mixed up! But..I dare say I like Fram most WITHOUT any clothes on! Sorry, Jianne, had to say that! *grins broadly* Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Hehe... yes, of course, I love Framhorn without clothing as well... sigh... I messed up with the paperdoll, I think meanwhile. Perhaps I will create the third version of it, once. I wanted to make more clothes (a few he now has) but meanwhile I don't like how the doll looks anymore." | |
| 24 Jan 2007 | Anonymous | The ancient Egyptians didn't wear underwear! Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you for telling me. I really didn't know. For this paperdoll, though, it doesn't matter. He lives on a world where people wear different styles. Egypt, roman, greek, whatever. They prefer egypt on Erlinnon, though. Framhorn is also able to jump from world to world, and so his clothing can reach from future to stoneage. He came from a gothic/medieval background world, first. So, I think, drawing him not fully naked is quite okay...At the end, cutting him out and dressing him with the egypt clothes, you could IMAGINE him without underwear underneath, can't you?" | |
| 5 Mar 2007 | Anonymous | Why is he so skinny? | |
| 13 Jul 2008 | Christina Jo Brinkley | wow looks good, you have to look at my stuff some time. I don’t think he looks to skinny I like your work! | |
