SciFi and Fantasy Art: Morfus vom Achtdrachengebirge

Morfus is one of my main 'Gryphon and Phoenix' characters. In his real shape he is a dragon, and he also is a Highking of a world named Astaraité. Here you see him in one of his many other shapes - one he uses not often - as a human(usually he prefers his more beautiful elvish one), travelling as a magician through countries on other worlds. The picture was made with Photoshop, and the background bases on a Photo I shot near Olpe / Germany.

I really LOVE King Morfus! He came out very good here, I like his white hair. He looks so noble!

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you very much. Yes, somehow he still looks noble, even though he is very different from how he usually looks. I like how the pic came out as well very much, I must say. Thats quite seldom. i think its one of my better pieces..."

Again the way you merge image with background is truely spectaclar, also your style shines through in every possible way. And again, i love the cloths! *still doesn't understand how you do it* Anyways nice going!
Take care
Jeste.
p.s. he seems angry... or am i miss interprating that?

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you, for everything. perhaps I should try to describe my way for doing clothes via email, but its not so very easy. You simply have to "destroy" how the sketch looked, somehow.I don't know if he is angry, maybe. Though it is coincidentley, I think. Its just one of two pictures i have to demonstrate how morfus looks in human shape. The other one is not finished yet."

These are kind of peaceful colours - the white of the hair and the pastes of the sky - I think you took a beautiful photo, heh 12

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "*g* Thank you very much! Yes, I agree it is one of my better compositions, truely. there seems to be a chance hat not all hope is left and I maybe still get a little better with doing pics..."

It was in a time, when Morfus decided to leave his world for a while, because he had enough of the other dragons. It was the time, he found his love and later wife, Maie who helped him to go through so many hard times again too. I really like the picture, because it is one of the who which shows that Morfus too has fire and live and sometimes likes action.

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you very much. Well, I think Morfus now has more power then back then. He has become much more sure of himself since he is the Elder. Maybe for the people on Astaraité it is not easy to see, but Morfus really has now grown with his job. Its everything he ever needed."
