SciFi and Fantasy Art: Rienuth and Lu'u'ran

Well, these two are as well Gryphon and phoenix characters today. But Christel Scheja and me wrote a story before that we called 'Firecircle'. This is the title picture for one of the two parts. It shows Rienuth te Llain (the 'dressed' one) which is Christels Chara, and my chara Lu'u'ran which in the story is the god of fire. No, the two don't really like each other... Made with Fineliner and coloured with Photoshop.

I like Lu'u'ran's hair. This turned out very nicely.

1 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thank you. at that time his might was big enough that he was able to let flames crown his head instead of hair - so it means he has a head full of fire! Hehe.... must be kind of warm. Well, he is a god."

Yes the two did not really like each other, although they are brothers (in our new definition, in those old days they and we did not know). Lu'u'ran disliked Rienuth very much, because he was son of a dragon god from the south, one who showed no respect, and did what he wanted. More than all the firegod hated the jokes, Rienuth played with him.
Rienuth is also Sir Thalions son - and as always, they too had their problems with each other, because Rie was no son who obeyed. Most of all I think, Thalion disliked in the story, that Rienuth fell in love with Caithlyn and married her, before he could. And Rienuth was very jealous, so that a tragedy happened...

12 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "You got it. Thats what poor Thalion really hated. Lu'u'ran though is not without humor. Oh no. He has his very own kind of mean humor, and this was stronger in the old days. But he really didn't like when someone like Rienuth dared to play bad jokes at him...."

ooo, such nice muscles your little (?) fire god has. He could light MY fire...heheheh, just being my scary, fangirl-like self...

ANYway, this is a very nice drawing. The celtic knot-like dragon circle thing must've taken forever!

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Er *blushes* not really. I just have copied it from one of my Doverartbooks, which has compyright free celtic frames for everyone to use. Well, at least I just copied it and coloured it in. Celtic knotwork is not something I am good with... the rest, though, is really "handmade", sketch and everything, without any reference. I am glad you like Lu'u'ran. I like too how he came out, I gladly had luck with that, it seems. I did pictures of him before, but this one is how I really imagine he should look!"
