SciFi and Fantasy Art: Pathsearcher

This is Pathsearcher, a character of © Kristina 'Aryana' Weiss . I made him as part of a picture trade between both of us and I must say I am kind of lucky how he came out at least... Aryana can tell you more of him, of course. If you are interested in her part of the picture trade please feel free to visit her gallery and search for Visto. The picture was made with Photoshop and Bryce.

This is just great. I love the colour job first and foremost. The leaves and grass are very well done. =)

6 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "*blushes* Oh, thank you! Thats no big thing to make grass and leaves as this with Photoshop, since it has the perfect tools therefore."

And Uta: great job! You've got a very unique style with computer colouring, I like it very much 2 Keep it up!

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "*g* No need to be jealous, dearest! You know your next birthday is coming, and I gave yo a promise... Thank you for the compliments!"

What shall I say that I haven't said in all the mails we exchanged during the trade? THANK YOU! And a thousand thanks more, this is wonderful! Maybe Pathsearcher is one of the easy-to-draw Nithyara because he has only two of their characteristic tattoo-like markings, but there are then their special body features and their love for black clothing that makes drawing them a challenge that you mastered well! My "Pathy" really looks like himself, this is how I pictured him all the time while I played this character. Thank you again, Freawyn, this trade was more than just fun!

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Oh yes, it was. And the result showed me that it was more then worth it! I am very glad you like the result, especially with the signs. Oh yes, defineteley I was a lucky one drawing a Nithyara with not so many signs, I thought it would be terribly difficult to draw him with - -without having any sketch. Its easier for me to draw chars from a sketch then from a description, but at least it was this challenge that made the trade so much fun... or one of the things! And as I said... I LOVE Visto so much!"

Yes indeed, the picture is great - not only Pathsearcher himself but also the background. Very good work!

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Thanks, Christel! I really hope that I'll do good jobs on my next pictures as well... or better, perhaps. I am always working hard on this!"

Wow... wonderful! The trees look great but the grass looks very flat. The texture seems to be missing. Photoshop has a few ways of getting grass to look like grass.

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Oh! You are right with the grass somehow. How could that happen?"
