SciFi and Fantasy Art: Freawyn meets Tralfy

I hope this really will happen one time. I did this for Tralfys birthday this year. It shows him... and Freawyn wearing the Phoenix necklage he gave to her. It has become the most important lucky charm she has! Thank you for all, Tralfy! And thank you again for beeing my friend.
Made with Photoshop.

...and it is more sweet, when you listen "Something Stupid" from Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman, when you look at it. A really cute, but wonderful picture (sorry Tralfy for taking away the first comment!)

It happened again! Tralfy got here too late and he was on line much of the day-He even got an E-mail telling him it was finally up..and he responded the second he got the message, and was still not fast enough...*Waaaaaahh!* ..Maybe I should rev up Dr, Voraundu's Time machine and see if I can manage to change history a little....(Stopping Chixulub comes to mind often in time travel fantasies) Well, I really got the first comment because I was the first to see it on my birthday and could respond via E-Mail then..*Blows raspberries*...So I guess it doesn't really matter if i didn't get first comment on it here...And it IS a great looking work! Best yet depicting my own character!..=^-^=..

19 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Aw Tralfy dear... it really doesn`t matter weather you were the first one to comment or not. You did, that counts. And you liked it. That counts much more! Its never too late for compliments, I think... so thank you very much. "

Wow, the textures here are exquisite! You do fur and feathers so much better than I do! But that's okay. So many different textures, and they all work very well. Did this start as a hard copy sketch, or was it all done in a computer program? Anyhoo, I love the shine and flow of Freawyn's mane/hair, and the texture of Tralfy's forearm. The expressions are great, too, though I'd put the pupils of the eyes a bit farther forward so it looks more like they're looking straight at each other (hard to do with avian eyes, I know). In summary, an excellent effort.

:-) Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "With the eyes, that would have been a great idea. They - that are us both, you know, Tralfaz and Freawyn.. Yes, I had a sketch as a scanand worked with it with Photoshop. Thats the usual way I do. The feather texture is made with the Photoshop tools mainly, as is the hair. The texture on Tralfy arm for example is a texture I had to load from a CD a friend gave to me once."

They are beautiful! Great job on colors and textures! As you told me, this is one of these "What if...?" pictures I am thinking about doing for Serren and Jairo. THis one's very inspiring!

1 Uta ´Freawyn´ Hesse replies: "Really? Good then! I still love this one, I think its not easy to draw feelings in a gryphons face, but here it kind of came out as I wanted!"
