| 11 Apr 2001 | Deborah L. R. Dixon | Oh! They are wonderful. I love the expressions. I also like the tufts of grass in the background. It's nice to see one of the other entries. I draw a lot of trolls. I am working on a pic for this month too. * Thanks! Me happy. I've seen your trolls, too, and they're excellent! Everyone who likes trolls, go see Deborah's artwork - that's an order! | |

| 10 May 2001 | Jason of McDowell | The fingers on the tall troll, especially the one on our left, look a bit wonky. It's a very cool style you have, though. It sort of reminds me of Kollowitz's work, except maybe a little more storybook-ish. | |
| 15 Oct 2001 | Moldis | Don’t think I’ve seen this one before. Very nice! The wonderful expressions on the trolls gives this drawing a whole new dimension, making it - in my opinion - much more interesting and accessible than some of your stoneface macho warriors. They’re characters, not just human figures. More of this, please! Enough with the homoerotic Fantasy nonsense already (no pun intended). Having said that, I’ll probably be banned from elfwood, but I’m prepared to make that sacrifice in pursuit of Truth. Marius Vibe replies: "Ha ha ha! "Homoerotic fantasy nonsense"... I can’t really decide whether you’re attempting the provocative approach of writing or the smartass intellectual style, but you manage to sound like a redneck anyway, my friend. And: If depicting a male body is automatically considered "erotic", I’d say that label is put there by the viewer , wouldn’t you agree? I don’t know why the male body makes you react in such a way - if I were a psychology expert, I’d start thinking about supressed subconcious desires, aggression and guilt as a result of these desires, etc., etc. If you were clever and wanted the provocative approach, I’d try dismissing fantasy illustration as slightly disguised soft pornography for loincloth fetishists, or at least try to say something about the phallic nature of huge swords and magical staffs (tee hee). Be creative! You need to sharpen your (digital) pen to rattle my cage, little brother - and I want you to SERIOUSLY consider what you find so erotic with my warriors; it’s something I fail to see. Din skinkerytter ;-)
***Note (for all you others who read this): this guy is a friend of mine, and we try to piss each other off from time to time just for the fun of it. So don’t yell at him. He’s a good (although simple) boy."
| 14 Nov 2001 | Bastiaan van Kesteren | Funny!!!!! Great work! | |
| 6 Mar 2002 | Eli | This is a very cute picture | |
| 7 Mar 2006 | Natassja Linder | An adorable picture, and amusing comments and replies... However, I find myself wondering whether the "homoerotic Fantasy nonesense" was a reference to your other work or just to the abundance of (predominantly) manga-inspired pretty-boy pictures on Elfwood (and elsewhere of course)
...Skinkerytter? Buttock-rider? No, surely not... Marius Vibe replies: "Surely."
| 22 May 2006 | Anonymous | Actually, reading the above comment, I've come to realize that the little troll sort of turns me on... =D
Seriously, though, you're an inspiration - this is another masterpiece. I'm just gonna sort of sit here now and try to absorb your mastery by osmosis, k?
