| 11 Feb 2002 | Terry Le | You're very pretty But! For me, the picture doesn't work in black and white. When I think of love, a flash of colors goes through my mind- I feel all tingly and warm- and whenever I see a photo in black and white, it feels cold and dead. So when I look at this picture, I don't get a warm feeling of love but rather one of sorrow. It's a bittersweet feeling, like a memory of losing someone close to you. I don't know if this makes much sense, again, this is just me! Other than that, clever setup and the balance of sharp and soft contrast makes it a soothing picture to look at. | |
| 10 May 2004 | Teela Anne Stoll | This picture has a certain nostalgic quality to it, which may be the reason Terry Le finds it a little sad. I think it fits, though I wouldn't group love and spirit into the same category. At first I didn't notice that the cloth was sheer, and I was surprised to find that you can see the girl underneath. That makes it feel playful to me, and makes it a little more real. You are indeed very pretty - how did you take a picture of yourself though? Especially at such an unusual angle? | |
