| 3 Mar 2000 | Lyndell Stout | First off, let me thank for adding a touch of "color" to your gallery. I ceratinly appreciate the gesture. As for the scanner problems...get in line mine drive me batty as well. The image that you have drawn has a certain strength and character to it. The shading could be a little more define and deliberate also her either her head is a litle big or her upper torso is a little small. Regardless, it creates a sense of imbalance from my perspective. Besides all that, its still a very nice drawing. | |

| 26 Aug 2001 | Mujaji | Hi. I am Mujaji. My name that is. So, how did you discover this name? My father named me after reading about the Rain Queen in college 27 years ago. I have recently been coming across several variations of the story behind "Mujaji". None of which are truly accurate. People always call her a goodess, and she wasn't. Perhaps my research is wrong. It came from the book African Beginnings, by Olivia (can't recall the last name now). Anywho, I was just wondering, since you've depicted Mujaji in your artwork, where you discovered her and the name. | |

| 9 Apr 2002 | Carolyn | Hello-
One of my dearest friend's name is Mujaji- I remember her telling me that her name was the name of an African Queen and not a goddess- she wasn't an idol worshiping witch with warts. She didn't have South-African features either. I will forward this to her so she can see what you are depicting as Mujaji when "we" know the Queen was a beautiful, nature loving, well respected leader by the Lovedu Tribe or Klan in or around South-Africa. I think you probably just like the sound of the name Mujaji however, you didn't complete your research/ homework. I would actually be interested in knowing where you got your information(I'm open to exploring the truth if you can produce it)? | |
| 5 Apr 2003 | Kelsey 'Siren' Paulus | Carolyn--As an artist, Victoria Anne Martyn doesn't have to follow the truthful description. This is her rendition, her idea of Mujaji, not yours and therefore you shouldn't criticize her work. I'm not sure if any of this made sense, but it doesn't matter. Muahahaha. Okay, sorry. I think it's just beautiful. And the raindrops do NOT look at all like warts! | |

| 27 Aug 2003 | Renate Ingebrigtsen | I don't know which scanner you have, but you must most likely experiment using various menues in the scanners program window. Use "curves" or contrast and brightness... Keep trying, and good luck! | |
