| 1 Dec 2004 | Andrew P. Morris | Kim, This is a very good piece. First is the perspective, most mermaids get shown with the tail full lenght in profile or strait on to the viewer, this breaks with tradition and the picture has a relaxed natural feel instead of looking posed. Her expession is sweet and kind and carefree. You could strengthen this by simply adding a bit of tone to the background. A pale blue-green sea tone maybe. Just some thoughts. ~Andrew Kim Marie Vilimek replies: "Hm,.....or maybe even something so simple as a shadow. Now that I have photoshop again, I can play around and see. ;-)" | |
