SciFi and Fantasy Art: Seven Deadly Sins: Pride

Awesome...but I think maybe this guy should have been greed and greed have been pride...but I am not one to say things like that as I could never, never ever do anything this good.

Someone should wipe that smirk off his face!

His expression is perfect.

This picture is amazing; he almost seems to be smirking, either to himself or the viewer. The detail and color's are incredible.

Dude, your work on the seven deadly sins inspired me to wright a poem.I love them all. Here's my poem:

The Seven Sins: A Family Tree

Gluttony and Sloth are cousins and lovers
Pride and Envy are Wrath’s father and mother
Envy and Greed are sisters and twins
Pride is the one Lust seeks to win
Greed wishes to glutton as Gluttony will
Whilst Pride in himself finds fill
Lust, Envy, and Greed are Gluttony’s spawn
Who eats rats, toads, and snakes from dusk till orange dawn
Violet Pride is snapped on a wheel
And Sloth is in snake pits, her color is teal
Green Envy in freezing water must thrive
Whilst Anger – bright red – is dismembered alive
Blue Lust is sent into fires to toil
And his yellow brother Greed is stuck in burning oil
These tortures observed by followers of Sin
Each given the punishment of their false god, therein.

I am completely taken in by how close Pride is to Mephistopheles. I guess that you have read Goethe. Maybe even talked with him before. Or just knocked on his coffin lid.

this picture reminds me of some of Brian Froud's work. not extremely alike but there are similarities. good job here
