SciFi and Fantasy Art: Indiana Ide

This sketch is called Indiana Ide as this shows Idoraine in her adventuring gear, short sword at her hip, longsword across her back... She's supposed to be quite short (only 4'5') and maybe the picture doesn't reflect this. Also the right hand is just bad, but I forgot to fix that before scanning. This picture is kind of landmark though, as it's the first I've really drawn a background with at the same time, and scribbly or not, I'm fairly proud of it. And I think my work with the anatomy books is starting to pay off somewhat...

10 Dec 2000	Alayna Marie Hoffman	Loading... I have a lot of trouble including backgrounds into my work - they don't come easy, but yours looks very natural. Her legs are a little long to be a short person, though the torso is convincingly short. Maybe if there was something in there to use as scale to show her size - a small furry animal or something.
