I have read that the swirling phoenixes stand for harmony and long life where in another area I read that it stands for death and resurrection. Please which is it?

This is awesome! What I know about phoenixes is that they build their nest at night and then burn themselves in it as a funeral pyre. Then the next morning, they resurrect themselves from the ashes.

I love the pic and all but the Phoenix also known as the firebird generally aren't that colorful(not that it isn't beautiful!) Perhaps you someone could draw the Phoenix adding the proper reds, oranges, and yellows.
