SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sad but True

Perhaps it is the pain of watching her friends die around her...perhaps it is the stab in her heart as good friends turn against her...hell, maybe she just has really bad cramps. I don't know. That is, in fact, a tear running down her face, if you were wondering. It's not great, especially her hair (really cliche) but I was feeling rather sad at the time, bear with me. :)

By hook or by crook Im the first in this book.Anyway. I like the eyes I see true pain in the shade and wrinkles of the pencil strokes. Add more emotion like this in your other picture shadings and maybe backgrounds to get these pictures a rockin'

Wow, I like your title for this one! Really interesting and makes you really wanta know the reason she's so upset. Hmmmmm...maybe her love died? Perhaps he contracted some painful disease and the only merciful thing she could do was to bring death swiftly to him...morbid, I know, but that would deffinatly explain the look. ;-) Nice job...especially the tear.
