How many people can say they shrank during their teenage growth spurt instead of shooting up?

Severe scoliosis, five backbraces, two surgeries, one shrinkage, so now I'm short. Darn it. I like the words strange and odd; they're synonyms for unique, after all, everyone is unique. On the other hand, if normalacy is what the majority of the population is, does that make uniqueness normal? I'm full of such strange, circular thoughts. I like it when people think, when they pause and give the honest answer -- I don't ask how you're doing. I couch the same question in incorrect grammar and rarely at the beginning of the conversation. Very few people will say "fine" unenthusiastically to that. Forget typical, go the opposite way...please. Excite the world.
