SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Curious Case of the Missing Eggs

Making a grand gesture, encompassing the whole vista, the King proclaimed, "A beautiful day dont'cha think Wizard?" Without waiting for an answer he continued, "My kingdom at peace, my people happy and the sky blue and clear,"  turning to the royal wizard he slapped his ample belly and smiled, "Yes I know there are clouds on the horizon. They're not storm clouds are they old boy?"
The Wizard made an effort to answer but was interrupted yet again.
"Not a word my old friend. life is good in my kingdom. What could possibly ruin such a wondrous day?" with that he turned on his heel to joke with a footman lurking nearby.
"How about two ruddy great dragons who want their eggs back...?"  muttered the Wizard under his breath.
"What was that Wizard?"
"Nothing Sire." lied the wizard, making a worried face and scampering off in the opposite direction.

A castle like one can only dream of2!!! Sooooo... Pretty2!!!!!!!! And the dragons on the back, only slightly but still clear... Very freaky - i wouldn't want to be around there for the next couple of hundred years...!!! Very nice picture, would be a cool book illustration2!!!

45 Dave Cripps replies: "Those dragons are not photoshopped either. I was pleased with them. And all I need is someone to write the book LOL."

Nice. It reminds me of castle coch in wales

45 Dave Cripps replies: "I just had a look at that on t'internet. Nice castle. But it's a bit of a cheat it's like a posh house. Wouldn't stand up to being besieged."

You're correct, it's called a "folly" some rich dude thought i'd be cool to build his own fantasy type castle on his land ,it's used now for weddings and parties and things like that ;0)

45 Dave Cripps replies: "Best Folly I ever saw that. Usually they have no use but to look good in the distance from the drawing room. These was one built one to win the owner a bet. Not sure where that was."

Well, well... haven´t been around in a while and look what i find here: Good ol´ Mr. Cripps at his best again! Hiding things in your picture so one has to look twice to find out what it´s really about! I realy like it - it catches the peacefull atmosphere and in the same second, when you take a closer look, you find those two small shadows and you know: Soon there will be need for some heroes. Great work!

45 Dave Cripps replies: "Thomas you’ve been quiet... too quiet. What foul monsters have you been unearthing? Ah yes the dragons, they might make a mess yet."

I love the depth of field here and the little dragons in flight.

:-) Dave Cripps replies: "Those are far off but if you wait a little while longer....."

Thats it im packed and ready to move...I just have to wait till my realators close the deal, This will be the first time Ive worked with dragons. I wonder what is taking them so long.........

45 Dave Cripps replies: "They’re sniffing about looking for the thief..... what’s that in your suitcase? "

OHHHH22 the clouds are simply amazing, all light and fluffy.

12 Dave Cripps replies: "And a long way off so there’s no rain today."

45 Dave Cripps replies: "Did you spot the dragons?"
6 Apr 2008:-) Celeste “Saphira“ Rigelhof
i did! 14 see those little draggies in the clouds! XD thanx!

45 Dave Cripps replies: "Aha! No fooling you then. The king might need another wizard. Someone who can spot things. Good pay, somewhere to sleep and 10 Gold per month. Oh must be able to battle annoyed dragons....."
21 Jul 2008:-) Patricia M. D“Angelo
You do a great job with landscapes. Tell the king he really should give up dragon egg omlets. He’s just asking for trouble.

45 Dave Cripps replies: "LOL I don’t think our hero, the Wizard, would let him have any. 12"
