SciFi and Fantasy Art: Campfire

Still exploring the wonderful world of 3D modelling, I had to try a way of making fire... It turned out quite okay, but doesn't look that realistic, but I can live with that... The picture is of a campfire, who's owner just left it to *visit with nature* for a while... He left his weapon and sheild by the fire, not knowing he was going to need them in the brush!

6 Jun 2000	B. Malici	Loading... Magic fire may be excusable in this case. due to the bright glowing of the sword gem,nightly surroundings.. even with the the fire,would not produce a glow so bright. good job if that was the intention

Actually, if you really want to get the fire to look less like "road flares" you should make the log be lit (along the length of it) instead of just one gout in the middle. Fire tries to consume everything, after all. And maybe make at least some of the wood balckened?

14 Mar 2003	Ally Ligons	Loading... Wow....As an aspiring artistst myself, I can truly say that your painting is...well, I'm stuck between using the word "terrible" or "horrible." The logs look like coffee cans, and the fire is completely unrealistic. My advice to you? Forget art- go with business.
