| 30 Mar 2000 | Lee Perrault | Hey, this ID thing makes me feel like part of a special club. Maybe I'll write a story to go with one of your pictures. | |
| 11 Apr 2000 | Jonathan D. Flynn | thanks for the comments... yer style conforms closely to that of the illustrations in several rulebooks... all i suggest is.. dabble with color.. yer proportions are going good.. put some color in.. start small.. like little hashes of 5 different greens for grass..... shading an apple... simple things.. u have even and smooth pencil strokes.. try color.. i think you would do good | |
| 4 Jul 2000 | Ulrike Kleinert | OK, if you invite me in....
I think you B/W sketches are quite good and you've got a feeling for composition.
As for color: you shoud try different techniques to find the one that suites you most and *very important* at first don't try to color your original! Make a copy or - far better try to sketch it once more as similiar as possible with leaving out the details. Build a completely new picture using the B/W one as a reference. So you needn't be afraid to ruin your original. Additionally too many pencil details tend to smear in the colors..
Hope to see some more work of you..visit me again some time | |
| 23 Aug 2000 | Tina Kirby | Thanks for the comment you left on my page. I thought I would return the favor. I do feel like I get rushed sometimes and leave out a few details but I also leave some of them out just to make the viewer use thier minds eye to fill in the rest. I think you should try to use color and I agree that you should use a copy to test the color on. I never stick with just one medium for color so I can't just say "oh, try colored pencils" or "Your art would look so great if you just used watercolors" I can say try it all, see what you like | |
| 25 May 2001 | Stephen Hippleheuser | Will your work shows great promise. I like the humor you infuse into the sketchwork. If I had to critic and be critical I would say to define a source of light and be consistant with it. Don't be afraid to create some drama with shading and use of shadows. That and jump right into colors. They make a big diffrence in the strenght of the image. | |
| 8 Nov 2002 | War Owl | Good thing you have the degree. | |
| 8 Sep 2005 | John Raynor Moore III | I'm probably related to you... So i felt thus obligated to comment. Good art. | |
