SciFi and Fantasy Art: Shot In The Dark

The poor knight never stood a chance. Shot in the back before a warning could be made.

not unless it was a double crossbow ... WAYLANDER THE SLAYER!!!!!!

nice piccie

~the slayer has spoken

:-) Steve Willhite replies: ""I'll have a Crossbow - and make it a double!"

What, a crossbow isn't a drink?"

I really like how you made the stairs black to help focus the eye on the knight. Very sad picture, but only so because you drew it so realistically.

:-) Steve Willhite replies: "I appreciate that. I was really going after sadness."

You're good at pure black and whites. Yeah! Waylander reference! Why does no one else read David Gemmell? Try the books, you'd maybe find inspiration from other authors - coming from someone who writes a lot, too.

:-) Steve Willhite replies: "Thank you. Sorry, but I've never heard of - or read David Gemmell. I've mostly read Glen Cook, Karl Wagner, Raymond Feist, Robert E. Howard and Terry Brooks. "

Drink or no, he was served more than he could bargain for! To bad the angle wasn't tilted a bit to the left. I'd have loved to see you do his face. I've said it once and I say it again: b&w rules! Unfortunately I don't.

:-) Steve Willhite replies: "Thanks, Snorri. Yes, B&W does rule! By the way, I really liked the "Sewer Dragon" on your page. Very nice. "

Damened assasines!
May I use your pic for a tour?

:-) Steve Willhite replies: "Please do! Thanks. "

Oh, that must really hurt.

17 Steve Willhite replies: "I think you're right!"

Impressive use of ink, like all your pics. You gotta spend a lot of money buying black ink 1 ... And finally someone nailed a knight! Sorry, but I´ve just about had it with their high-bred, aristocratic, arrogant ********... Hit ´em while they´re looking the other way, thats what I say!

:-) Steve Willhite replies: "Ha! Actually I spend very little on supplies. I really only use the cheap stuff. Seems to work. "

Ouch..... His sword is really cool

:-) Steve Willhite replies: "Thanks! "

Man..... wondering what that guy can be thinking about. Love his look and expression...

:-) Steve Willhite replies: "He's thinking, " Darn, I just bought this outfit.""

He bought a skirt? He deserves the back shafting (:
