SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ring of the Gods

Perhaps a better title would be "It came from outer space!" :P
A mysterious object on a snowplanet. Legends say it came from the skies.
A cover painting for Holland SF magazine. Oddly enough, this is my first "full fledged" snow painting. I had great fun with the mountains. The top has been left a bit empty (and cropped a bit here) for the logo.
This image has been shortlisted for Best Art of 2006 by the British Science Fiction Association (BSFA). Yay! :)
