SciFi and Fantasy Art: TRINITY: LOVE

Third in a series of quick portraits I did virtually overnight, allegories for the driving force behind humankind’s most daring achievements and its unyielding perseverance. I noticed that whenever these aspects of human nature are portrayed, they are almost always portrayed as women. I decided to do it somewhat differently, and portray them as men.

All three portraits are 9x12'. All were done in black & white graphite and black ink on tinted paper.

I *love* his nose! I know that's weird....but that's one of the first physical characteristics I look at in men. This guy has got a terrific nose. 19)

"Having but faith to know of such thoughts, Jumped forth into the future with hope in my life, And knowing that love will follow..." (Anonymous), I think it fits the situation a bit. I love all three of them, I believe my heart was torn between the three evenly. I congratulate you with complete affection for all your work.

I love this pice also. You know how to catch a great pice from a line of your pincel.I fall in love with your pice's. If you dont mind me asking but. Do you ever think of taking your art way from the paper. And on something way bigger. I would love to see what you could with a whole wall. So much space, so much talent in one thing.

If you think some words are spelld wrong that is just how I do it so I can get out what I'm thinking out faster.

Why are his tattoos pressed into his skin? I like the picture, but it is a bit weird in that way. He looks very thoughtful. Oh, he is in love. You can almost see it in his eyes. It’s like an emptiness without his true love...okay, I know. Weird. Anyway, great pic and hope you post more!

:-) Maria J. William replies: "They aren’t supposed to be tattoos, but a headdress. 2"

You did this overnight?! No way! It’s too good.

:-) Maria J. William replies: "Virtually overnight. Meaning these were a spontaneous idea."
