| 8 Jan 2006 | Gemila 'princessterribel' Sultan | I do believe I am the very first commenter in your gallery. Welcome. I was drawn to this gallery by its hmmm...mystery. You ahve no gallery thumbnail, no bio pic, no world location you like psychology and aliens and none of your pics have a description. Yet, you have such a vibrant and bold use of colour, I am studying sci-fi as one of my english literature courses and I must say I find your drawings very interesting. Looking forward to seeing more of your art. James O. Ross replies: "Thank you for your compliments on my gallery. Sorry about all that mystery. I reside in Texas, US - I'll have to update my bio. None of my pieces had a story behind them although "Pipe Creature" was done as a concept for a haunted attraction mural. I hope viewers will invent their own stories for the pieces of mine that they enjoy. Some of my favorite SF authors are Jack Williamson, Philip K. Dick, Clifford Simak and Robert Silverberg." | |
| 11 Jan 2006 | Jessica R. Seidman | wow! your pics have such color and feeling. Ilove them! James O. Ross replies: "Oh thank you very much. There are lots of artists that have better technique than I do as far as realism. But I do try to imbue my pieces with as much energy as possible. While I'd like to improve my technique and am working on it, I think energy / action / mood is more important. It is art after all and a camera will always beat an artist in the contest for realism and detail." | |
