SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ryder

Companion piece to my earlier Ehm drawing. This character is a Klingon/Benzite hybrid. Her parental races were chosen because they are so dissimilar that stereotyping would be practically impossible.

Errrm, I get da feelin' this aint as good as your other pics, I gal look waaaaaaay too 'dudey'... Great detail though.

NOTE from Artist: Thank you. If you take a good look at the picture, you may realize the model is based on Angelica Huston as Morticia from "The Addams Family" movie. Perhaps not a sexpot by today's standards, she is classically beautiful.

I've been looking at your work and it's outstanding. While I like the idea of a Klingon/Benzite is great, I'd try to avoid having multiple colors contrasting on the face (it looks like a mustache). When drawing female characters I try to emphasize femenine traits (which I admit can be hard to do when you're trying to make them look alien, especially those races). I look forward to seeing more of your work!

I really enjoy you odd race crossbreeds...
It was something that was missing from the show from pretty much everything but humans and some other race...

As for the drawing itself, I would like to see it with a more benzite bluish colour to the face, and with the hair coloured darkly... The clothes are interesting... your creation, or modeled off something?
