This was a gift for my mom. She's a turtle-holic. We currently have three box turtles, two painted water turtles, and two tortoises as pets. And anyone who says turtles aren't cute needs to hold our new baby Herman's tortoise, Beasley.

I love seing sculptures in Elfwood. This is definately a cute tortoise. I must say though that its face reminds me a little of a baby chimp. They're cute too though. Do you sell these?

That is just so cute! I just spoted it in Woodworks and had to leave a comment about it. You have really captured the look of a cute baby turtle, and there is so much detail in as well. KUTGW!

:-) Whitney M. Richmond replies: "Awesome, thanks for telling me this was in Woodworks, I never would have known! I had to go check it out when I read your message. You'd think they'd send an email or something. Oh well, happy to know I made it in there. Thanks for your comments, come again!"

This is so clever...what a weensy, hope your mother loved it. Such a sweet little face...and your attention to details is great. Love the eyes, looks very hopeful and trusting.

What medium did you use...clay or sculpey? Is it teeny tiny or box turtle size?

Oh well,it is great. Hope you have more of these little creatures running, crawling, flitting around for us to see!

:-) Whitney M. Richmond replies: "This guy's about three inches tall and he's made out of super sculpey. Everything here is made out of some kind of polymer clay. Thanks for your compliments, hope you visit again!"

He seems so sweet and playful. I love turtles and this little guy captures everything great about them, their gentle sweetness ... their almost shy behavior ... their adorable little faces ....he is just so precious! ~*~Megg~*~
