SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ariele & Malefice.

At long last - here is the finished picture I was working on when I did Malefice's portrait. There are plenty of influences at play here - Beauty and the Beast, The Phantom of the Opera, Steerpike and Fuchsia, Sarah and Jareth - to name but a few. So what's happening here? - I think I'll let your imaginations run riot with this for a while before I tell you..;)

I love this picture. I must say though, Ariele looks less than happy. Maybe because she's dripped blood on her pretty dress? As always the detail in this piece is fantastic and Malefice looming out the shadows behind her is excellent. I won't speculate on the story..... just patiently wait to hear what *actually* is going on. ^__^ In the meantime I'll enjoy your beautiful artwork. Great picture!

This is a longshot but here's what I think is going on. The man behind her is hiding, but she knows he's there. He plans to kill her and she knows it. Sorry, my writing isn't very good, but I think it's a start for a story.

I love all of your artwork and I'm also a lover of fantasy and fiction. This is one of the best spooky pictures I have ever seen. How in the heck do you do it, the shadows and the mood is perfect. I love the masked guy Malefice.

R: Why have you brought me here?
C: We can't go back there!

R: We must return.
C: He'll kill you!

C: His eyes will find us there, those eyes that burn
R: Christine don't say that! Don't even think it!

C: And if he has to kill a thousand men...the Phantom of the Opera will kill and kill again...!

C: My God who is this man, who hunts to kill?
R: My God who is this man, this mask of death

C: I can't escape from him, I never will...
R: Who is this voice you hear, with every breath?

C: Yet in this laborinth, were night is blind,
R: Yet in this laborinth, were night is blind,

C: The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside my mind!
R: The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside your mind!

Have to say it doesn't really remind me much of Steerpike and FUschia, but the rest are absolutely spot on. I love it, it has all the elements perfect for that sort of story. 2
