SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lachlan.

This is Prince Lachlan, third son of King Dubhais of Raven's Crag. He has the ability to turn into a wolf, but he is not a werewolf. He should have amber eyes, as his wolf-form is black with amber eyes, yet somehow they looked totally wrong when I painted them. I agonised over his eye colour for about two days and then played the artistic licence card and made his eyes dark. Hey - he is my character after all..;) Digital.

24 Sep 2003	Anonymous	Loading... Very good highlighting work in the folds of the coat - I notice things like that. The unkempt hair and lace-trimmed stock are an interesting juxtaposition that says a lot about him right off (I bet his valet has fits about that hair). The expression has wonderful depth, too - a lesser man would be brooding, but he has something up his sleeve. And you made him left-handed, always a nice little quirk.
