| 21 Feb 2001 | Aero | The anatomy on both these characters is good, why aren't you fond of it?BTW,your favorite color wouldn't be blue, would it? Despite all the blue evidence, not always. I like blues/greens/purples. I don't like this one much because I still can't quite get the hang of digital painting just yet, and it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Artist's whim, I guess. | |
| 21 Feb 2001 | Hila Gerasy | I think it's very cute, and I hope you will eventually finish it. The girl's face and hair are amazing, my favorite parts of the picture. I also love the clothes design. I also like the positions you've put them in.
*grins* Thanks! Medieval/Ren period clothing's fun to design. Her hair and his sleeve are the only parts I like. The position was taken (okay, copied) from a calendar pic. Worked really well for this one.
| 25 Feb 2001 | Igino Giordano | Your digital paited stuff is really good! I particularly like the eyes here! ... that's the one part of the pic I find issue with... I guess if someone likes it... (and what a someone...!) | |
| 27 Feb 2001 | Min Rho | it dosen't even look like a paint program! it looks like paint! and its adorable! Heehee. Maybe I'll actually have to try for that CG-generated look. Then again, maybe not. | |
| 11 Mar 2001 | Danielle Williams | Their exprsesinos are really good, though...Maybe the far one's pose is a little odd (with the feet/legs, I think), but the near one has a very natural, relaxed pose!...Do consider keeping this...or maybe cropping it to a shot of just the faces (like you might see in a movie?)
Huh, there's a thought, recropping. Her dress is rather unfinished here, so that might be why the bottom half looks odd. I really should just redo the entire thing... I do like their poses.
| 17 Mar 2001 | Ludovica Wing Shuen Price | I love the way their eyes seem to connect. It's as though they really are locked in conversation. I find that about all your work...they really tap into human emotions and feelings. Thank you, Ludi! I wish I was better at expressions. I'd like to be able to do something more than just variations on a friendly stare. | |
| 16 Apr 2001 | Chris Heald | Wow, this is awesome! Makes my coloring jobs look like crap! Looking great - very nicely executed - the texturing is great! The anatomy and poses look very natural, too! Great job! Chris, that's so not true. Your digital stuff is awesome; it's just a different style than mine. You at least have a better grasp of anatomy than my "grope in the dark -- hey, that looks better" ways! | |
| 24 Apr 2001 | Lim Hwei Lin | painted as in computer painted? I could have sworn it was painted by hand... and brush... real brush... please finish it, what you have here is interesting and the hat is a killer touch.
Computer-painted, yes. I have very little idea of how to make real life paint behave as I want it. Painter is an awesome program.
| 7 Aug 2001 | Tsunami dragon(I'm a girl) | This picture is GREAT! I love it! (I look at you with envy in my eyes). | |
| 16 Dec 2001 | Jessica 'Tabby' Mulleneaux | You imply that you're a bit new to digital painting. If I'm reading that correctly, bravo on an auspicious start! Even if you're note, this is still pretty darn good! There's definite personality in this picture, something that's hard to come by in digital media. The way you've placed light and darkness on the clothing is exceptional. I shall have to check back on this one to see the progress! | |
