SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Adonik Tree

Eliar alone knew the location of the adonik trees. Once a year it would bear one ripened adonik fruit. He had a knack for knowing when the time was just right for it to be plucked from its leafless branch and he was adpet at scrambling up the smooth treetrunk to the very top where the sweet fruit grew. He would pluck it and take it back to his home, hiding it in the folds of his oversized coat from prying eyes. There, he would add it with the others for adonik fruit never rotted; and he would wait.

It took ten years to collect enough fruit from one tree to create one bottle the much sought after adonik wine, called "the nectar of the Gods." Eliar was good enough to make one bottle in two years, but he would never tell his secret.
