SciFi and Fantasy Art: Libra

My contribution to the Bifrost Zodiac Project, the Personification of Libra. I'm an unbalanced Libra (hence my theory as to why the scales are slanted in this picture). I goofed on this picture but I think it came out ok, might end up doing another version on it (full pastel or full colorpencil). Tell me what you think.

I think that maybe you should do all pastel, but this one is very nice, and well drawn....... Keep up the good work.

I have come to a point in my life where I no longer wish to just accept that I'm a Libra and certain traits are just "supposed" to be mine. I have been on a journey for the past few months to alter my being, and have been in search of the "Unbalanced Scales of Libra". Thank you, I'm inspired!

As a Libra, I totally understand the tipped scales! Thanks for drawing this. Great job!

:-) Jessica Ng replies: "Late reply, since the time that you left your comment and the time that I'm typing this here (January 2006) both our birthdays have come and gone once and we've passed into a new year ^^; sorry
I'm glad that you liked it though, and thank you for the comment. I hope you had a great birthday, and hope you're having a great start of the year. 2"

Too bad you can see the lines that clear, and that the dress is too small.. But like the design

:-) Jessica Ng replies: "Wow, it's been too long since I've dropped by your gallery again -- I don't recognize a lot of the pieces, been away too long it seems, but even in the thumbnails they look good and I intend to drop by again and take a closer look (hopefully not Too far into the future).Thank you for the comment here, am glad that despite the flaws (yes, it could use a lot of work, I agree) that you like the design. Good job on getting your character dressed! Most people don't so I'm here to congraduate you!

:-) Jessica Ng replies: "This made me think of scantily clad women warriors for some reason and a passing image of a little kid asking "why are they wearing bikinis made of metal? Wouldn't they rust?""

I really like her dress...Will someone tell me why people put blindfolds on they're libra pictures???

:-) Jessica Ng replies: "This is a late response, a month shy of a year overdue, but the reason why I put a blindfold on her is due to the image of Justice being a blindfolded lady. Justice is blind and undiscriminating."
