It has been some time since there has been a contest of any sort, so we thought we'd come up with something fun to do for the coming holidays. Many of the publishing members would be aware of the `Tour' function on the extranet that allows you to create a guided tour based on a particular theme. Now we offer you the challenge of getting your name inscribed in the hall of fame by making the best humour-based tour on Elfwood (and win some appropriately entertaining prizes to boot!) Competition deadline is 31 December 2008

The Prizes:

1st prize: Munchkin Cthulhu game 2nd prize: Nemi cartoon book (signed) 3rd prize: Futurama 2009 calendar

The above prizes will be supplemented with the granting of a Patron status (1 year/6months/3months) if you already are a Patron, your term can either be extended or you can give it as a 'gift' to someone else you like on Elfwood.


Competition information and rules.

You must be a publishing member of Elfwood to be able to create a tour;

The tours must only contain pictures (writers need not despair - we may run something similar for stories later on);

All the pictures and descriptions in the tour must meet Elfwood rules (hint: do not underestimate the power of a funny description, but also keep in mind that anything deemed too crass may significantly diminish your chances of success);

Your tour has to have at least 10 and no more than 35 stops;

You can only submit one tour to the competition and it must be titled "Humour Contest Tour: " [your title]";

Yes, you are allowed to put your own pictures in the tour, although we would advise you to limit their number to no more than 1/3-1/2 of the total;

After your tour is published, to submit it for the contest go to the Competition forum section at the Twilight Tavern and make a post in the topic "Elfwood Tour Contest: The Funniest Tour on Elfwood? with a LINK to the first stop of your tour;

You must submit your tour before the deadline (31.12.2008) and you cannot make changes to a tour once you have submitted it to the competition;

Now we all know there are quite a few humorously oriented pictures on Elfwood, but it would now be up to you to find them, arrange them and sprinkle them with accompanying captions to produce an effect that could range from a sophisticated chuckle to making you literally roll off your chair laughing.
