By :-) Thomas at Sun May 24 19:55:00 2009

Our Fiction section, the Wyvern's Library, is now ready enough to once again accept new material to be published. I'm sorry for keeping all you writers waiting for so long.

For the new queue situation, I know that the the amount you log-in is factored, but what if your username and password is saved so that you are constantly logged in? Is that taken into account? Thanks.

:-) Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "If your UID and password is saved, then you’re tecnically not logged in always, but when you go to the site it just automatically logs you in. So yes, that it’s accounted for as well."

With the new uploading system, will we get emails telling us when our pieces have been processed?

:-) Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "Yes"

I’ve has two pieces up for three weeks now when can i expect them to be moterated

:-) Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "Usually it takes between a day to a week. However currently the queue is longer than usual, because uploading was opened on May 3, but moderating didn’t start before May 14. Wyverns moderating didn’t open up until the end of May, because some bugs still had to be fixed. My plan is to get moderation back to the usual level, but it will take a bit of time to go through that huge queue.

Is there still a limit to the amount of material you can upload at one time to be published? I know with the old tickets for Wyvern’s Library there was a 5 story limit per ticket. Is this still the case, or can we upload more at a time now that the ticket system is gone?

:-) Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "No, there’s no limit anymore, nor is the ticket system operational anymore. "

Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy being able to go back and edit small changes. When somebody points out a small spelling or grammar mistake, it will be easy to take care of it. Plus you won’t loose any mod awards when you do it. It will be a lot easier now to use the feedback we get. Yeah!!

how to i read send something to the mods? i just had to big a space at the end of mine and its fixed now when will it be remoderated? do i have to somehow resend it?

:-) Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "You find the item, click on "Edit" and change the "item status" to "Unpublished"."

i uploaded a few stories, but whenever i check them, they always say "unpublished". how long will it be before it changes to "published"?

i cant seem to be able to uplaod any stories, they are in HTML format but i can find the uplaod stories icon anywhere. when i want to uplaod i only find where i can laod my pics - do i need to change my acoount or maybe i’m just being blind - sorry if this is a stupid question but i really need help!

:-) Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "The account you have written this from is for SF&F art. If you already have a Wyverns Library account, then you should login to that account first. If you don’t have a Wyverns Library account, then you need to create an account for that area first."

i don’t know how to get my stories in HTML format. Maybe I’m just being blind, but please can you tell me how to get the storied in the right format?

:-) Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "That depends on what program you’re using to write the stories. If you use Word, then I recommend that you copy/paste the story from Word directly into the online editor here on Elfwood. I don’t recommend changing a Word document to HTML, because Word is notorious for adding useless HTML tags, which in the end will end up with your story being rejected by the moderators for HTML tags that aren’t allowed."
