The 'Inbox' page at your user profile now displays a conventient grid of all guestbooks you're having at Elfwood, including your Profile Page, your FARP articles - and all the guestbooks for your Art or Written Material! Clicking an item in the grid will display a filtered list of the Guestbook entries only for that item.
Comments on this news Item... | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 21 Jan 2008 | William A Clayton | Step by step. One signs in at the extranet under one’s user name, in my case, this happens for both my accounts, lothlorien and wyvern’s. Once in, one clicks on edit comments and then get’s the does not exist error. This condition did not exist until just a few days ago. I too, am unable to access my comments list. Since I see more than just myself having this problem, it is due to something other than user procedure. I am simply signing on as normal, and getting the same result as the others. I am glad you can see the comments in our accounts, as that means they are somewhere, anyway, though beyond our own reach. This is not just a one-time error, but one that has happened each time I have signed on to the Extranet. Most puzzling. Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... you are using it from the extranet... i never do that.... thanks, now I know where to look at!"
| 21 Jan 2008 | Norma Peters | In reference to your response to me, above: My inboxes for both galleries are now okay. I assume it must have been a temporary glitch. Now, if I could only get something done about my mashed-together comments for both galleries, which I brought to your attention twice on another comment board. Viewer comments are indistinguishable from my responses and appear to be one large block of text, all in a white font. Since everyone else who had this problem has had their messages fixed, I find it odd that mine in the only one which remains. Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "Problem was that I never thought of test-running the function from within the extranet’s context. Its fixed now..." | |
| 22 Jan 2008 | William A Clayton | Glad I could point out the right track on the Extranet comment problem. Mine is still not working properly however. I am still unable to locate or edit comments at my pages. They are visible from a outsiders view, but not in the Extranet.... I do, by the way, like the new developments here at Elfwood. Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "Its hard to get it to work like I want to, maybe now..." | |
| 22 Jan 2008 | Yasa Nihari | Hi, I can’t do anything comment related from the extranet. I get to the "All Guestbook Items..." thingy and then they all lead to the nonexistent page notification. Are you sure its fixed? Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "Hmm.. it wasn’t really fixed. new Try.... *done*" | |
| 22 Jan 2008 | William A Clayton | Thanks, the Extranet comments section is working properly now for both my Lothlorien and Wyvern’s areas. I appreciate the work you put into this matter, and the time you’ve spent over the years here on Elfwood in general. | |
| 22 Jan 2008 | Norma Peters | **This is what I said, above** Now, if I could only get something done about my mashed-together comments for both galleries, which I brought to your attention twice on another comment board.
Its fixed now..."
**The matter mentioned above concerning the mashed together comments in both my galleries has still not been addressed, nor corrected, although the problem has been corrected in all other galleries that I have checked, and I have checked quite a few.

| 23 Jan 2008 | William T. Steinmayer (aka: Lucius Appaloosius) | Inbox seems to be working now..... Thanks! | |
| 24 Jan 2008 | William A Clayton | The comments in the inbox are somehow combining in the end pages("5" of 1,2,3 etc) of the Extranet. It seems to be some alphabetical attraction, as someone who has commented on another work has a "run" of three or four comments in a row from other works, thus resulting in a ’Stack" of unrelated comments, save by their name. Seems some sort of indexing spell gone awry. Everything must go somewhere, after all. You must be doing some long hours, fixing all these, do take time for some tea and cakes, relax a bit. Thanks again for Elfwood!!! | |
| 24 Jan 2008 | Heidi Hecht | It’s working fine for me so far. I like this version better than your previous version. Cheers! | |
| 3 Feb 2008 | Saskia H. Suurling | Why do comments are set to "undefined" when I’m trying to reply? And sometimes I’m not able to reply at all. When I come back an hour later it seems to be okay but the problem keeps coming back. Can you help me?
Kind regards,
Saskia | |
