| 28 Mar 2008 | Green Phoenix | It doesnt seem to work for me. Nothing except the smileys. Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "That’s the worst kind of bug report to work on; "It doesn’t work!" Please, what doesnt work. What happens. What does not happen. What browser do you use. Operating System. Versions. Etc." | |
| 28 Mar 2008 | A.R. George | It’s good to have text formatting back again - thank you for that. It’s very disappointing to hear about the old comments, but it would definitely be far worse to lose them altogether with a coding adjustment gone wrong. This all goes a long way towards making writing reviews/responses practical again, but there is one more significant issue still making things hard for Elfwood’s long-winded commenters (like me) - would it not be possible to resize the comment reply window? It’s very difficult at the moment to reply to longer comments (or to answer in more than a sentence or two), as it’s only really possible to see one line of text at a time. Lovely to see everything gradually coming together. Thanks again for the latest developments. Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "Well. Its not really a window, just a layer that is shown. I’ll see if I can find some little code somewhere to make it a floating window, but its not very simple without using some major dHTML frameworks (which I don’t want to for performance issues, etc)" | |
| 28 Mar 2008 | John R Farley Jr | wheeee! lots of color! As to resizing the comment window, I find that if you click inside the (black) window it expends to fit several more lines. Thomas F Abrahamsson replies: "Well, Yes, I coded that intentionally, so it expands the HTML textarea with more lines if needed and when clicked. " | |
| 31 Mar 2008 | SiehYean Kiew | WHEEEeeeeEEEE!!! I like the colours. Just one question though... I love the new colours for guestbook entries, but why is the colour palette for comment replies so much more limited? it’s not a bug, and not terribly important, but i’m just curious... | |
| 5 Apr 2008 | A. Set. Whitver | SiehYean, the comment reply colors are not really more limited, you just have to code the colors by hand. Any color you can use in commenting can be used in replying, just look back and see what the tag for the color was. I can, for instance, type in manually <COLOR=darkcyan> with the [] brackets and I have dark cyan! or crimson, or goldenrod. All, or at least most of the original color choices are back, if you know the right code or names. Thomas, thank you so much for the colors and the basic tags! I am so glad to have them back! | |
