| 28 Apr 2004 | Nadia Sultan | Hey thats sooo cool! He kinda reminds me of a guy from xmen! Anyway I think it would look even better if u had a go at colouring it in! Isabella Spitznagel replies: "I did color it a long time ago, but it looked crappy. And now I'm not interested enough in Lodoss War to try again. " | |
| 4 May 2004 | Mind Bender | Hey, I think that this art is freaking AWSOME! I love the detaila nd I just love the grim look ont he character's face. I wanted to get your permission before doing this. I would like to use this as a picture on my profile for Yahoo! Chat and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind. I will gladly put your name or screen name in my profile saying that you are the artist. And again, the pic is absolutly awsome! Isabella Spitznagel replies: "thx man. I feel really honored when people like my art! Feel free to use it for ur profile as long as u give me credit. thx for the comment^^" | |
| 24 May 2004 | Stefanie Zeuch | Very clean line-art. I think in terms of line-art you surpass me by far, I'm really impressed. It looks that good that I almost thought you copied it out of the manga but you didn't, did you? My one peeve is only that, well, it looks as if it came right out of the manga. It will never be connected to you but always to Natsumoto who drew the manga. That's why I prefer those of your works that look like *you* made them. Heh, you know me, I'm always peculiar about original style. Isabella Spitznagel replies: "Hey, thx for the comment! So much praise ... ^^ Well, back then my line-art was very clean and stuff ... today its more rough and sketchy but I like that better! You're right about the thing with Natsumoto-imitation. But only through imitation of other great artists you can attain a beautiful style of your own! I think it's very important for an artist to have an own unique style, since we are not machines that copy but persons who create. " | |
| 27 Jun 2004 | Ann Jansson | It's really good, but I must agree with Steph that it looks like it's copied. But, I also agree with you. I used to imitate other artists all the time some years ago (and in secret, I still do occasionally ^_^). I think it's a good way to "feel" different techniques other than your own. And use it to develop. =)Have you thought of coloring it? ^_^ Isabella Spitznagel replies: "Thx for the comment! It's pretty old and I hate it ... Now my style is rather sketchy than clean and i like it better that way. But these "Natsumoto-imitating-times" were a part of my devlopement as an artist so I guess it was necessary." | |
