FanArt: Shadows

wew thats really cool! tell me how you did it!! very smooth. I tried to do some but it aint easy. the backgrounds good too.

Johan Aronson replies: "I searched around after some tutorials on colouring in photoshop/paintshop and found one here on elfwood eventually.. dont remember exactly where though. Anyway it's rather simple, I just coloured one section and went berserk with the burn and dodge tools =) oh, and thanks "

I absolutely LOVE this!! I really like the girl on the right! It could stand to be a little light thou so you can see more detail. Other than that it's GREAT!! ^_^

Yeah well that one guy in the background scares me, the whole wierd eyes thing, looks like he's about to chop off his arm. And I love the whole idea of it, seems like someone said "ok, im going to paint you, so do your favorite pose...".

Not to be rude or anyting but why are most artists some afraid to color a drow elf black? I mean i know that some ppl may veiw their drow as being blue instead of black but if you tell me tht i won't metion that most commonly drow are black. But to me drow are black i really don't mean to be rude i'm just very curious and a little upset by how many BLUE drow i see. I mean when describedin a book they are always described as being blacker than black. But if there is some reason for it please tell. But all in all i really actully do like the pic.
(sorry bout any spelling mistakes and that this is so long)

Johan Aronson replies: "Hehe, they are not meant to be drows, I'm not even sure what a drow is.. dark-skinned elves with white hair I think. Anyway, the blue ones are kobolds, which are blue and small in the DAoC universe.
