FanArt: Shadow

This is an old drawing, and has been rather poorly treated, thus the creases. The facial features are based on Michael Whelan's art for C.J. Cherryh's atevi series. Mind you, she ISN'T an atevi, she just looks like one. Shadow is a gargoyle from a small clan located in an African rainforest. She's rather odd, in that her coloring is black; most of the others are very brightly colored. She tends to dream quite a bit, and is apprenticed to the clan's storyteller, who is teaching her the history of the gargoyles. When the storyteller dies or retires, Shadow will be the one who holds the clan's knowledge of their past.
