FanArt: Hermione

I love your shading and the way you draw clothes. The bodies are done quite well and the folds are exceptional. But there seems to be something wrong about the faces in your art. The necks seem too long, or too skinny and faces seem squashed or, well, just not right. This is only a bit of criticism. I'm not trying to put you down or make you give up art. I'm just telling you how you can improve so that you can go on to make even better artwork then ever imagined possible. The talent is there, you are fantastic, but work on your faces. Your sailor moon for the contest is wonderful BTW, which means that you work harder when under pressure. Just think of each drawing you do as a contest entry. Because you never know, you might decide to use it some day.

i agree, i think there is somthing not *quite* right with the faces. one of the main things, for me, is that you draw the nose too distinckly(sp). the nose is PART of the face, it isnt glued on, so therefore there shouldnt be two lines showing where it is, you should just be able to show the nose through the shading, and contrast. other than that, its very good.

I too think the noses have a certain 'Lilo and Stich' quality, but they're a heck of a lot better than mine, i can't draw worth a crap. especially noses, so good for u, you can put a nose on a face and make it look OK.

I like her pose - but are her calves supposed to be that big? I don't know what's up with the huge nose, either.
