FanArt: Haldir

I couldn’t really remember what his armour was supposed to look like, so I just did my best since I couldn’t get my hands on any references. He’s holding a banner with Galadriel’s crest on it. I sobbed for ten minutes straight when he died. I also wrote a poem for him, like Gil-Galad's poem, but not. This is my own, original work. I will be very possessive of it.
Haldir was Guardian of Golden Wood.
His tongue was sharp, his wit was good.
Guarding borders of Lórien
Letting not a dark thing in.
His bow was swift, his reach was long
But tempered by Nimrodel’s song.
The silver glow of heaven’s light
He brought with him in deepest night.
But on to battle ere he went
By Elrond and Galadr’el sent.
His light was joined with stars for all
O’er Helm’s Deep, which saw his fall.

I was added to the Haldir tour as well, (I didn't find out until just a moment ago, when I checked the picture in my gallery - nice surprise, I must admit.) - and I'm glad someone finally made one. Haldir deserves to be recognized! Yes, I checked on my page and was wonderfully surprised to discover I was on a tour. Nice of you to visit!
1 Jun 2003	Haldir is my MAN!!	Loading... I cried so much when Haldir died in the 2 towers. I'm glad that there are some Haldir lovers. Everybody praise the sexy god! GREAT PIC!! My friend Katey, who was sitting next to me, thought I was faking it, I was crying so hard, until she noticed the insane amount of tears. Poor, poor Deary.

MUST GET REVENGE!!!!!!! its a good pic. and haldir didnt die in the book. one of my friends who didnt even know of haldir was SOBBIN at the movies when she saw him die. i wuz sorta cryin when he died when i watched the dvd for the zillionth time. and when they showed all the dead elves. grrr. throws dart at piccy of peter jackson I believe I shall lead an army of Fangirls to avenge my Deary's death. Who's with me?
26 Dec 2003	Anonymous	Loading... Nice effort. He is so the forgotten hero. I don't even know who played the character. Can we get some info on the actor somehow? Did you notice in Aragorn's charge at Helm's Deep that it was all elf soldiers? Did you notice that at the end of the battle that there were no elves in sight? The actor is a New Zealand actor named Craig Parker. Type that into Google or something, there are lots of sites about him. It's quite depressing that it appears no elves survived Helm's Deep.
28 Mar 2004	Beth on Am A'Shalka	Loading... When Haldir died my mom was sobing I was silently crying and i saw 5 tears on my dads face wich is amazing! I have only seen my dad cry 3 times the first time was when i was 6 and I walked away form a playground and every one though someone had kiddnapped me. the seconed time was when my grandma died and the third time was when we saw the two towers. It made it seem all the worst curse when we saw it neither me or my dad could remeber if he died or not.Wow. Sounds like it hit you guys hard, too. At least book Haldir lives on, as he should.
9 Oct 2004	LOTR Girl	Loading... I couldn't stand it when Haldir died, I am crying now and I'm not even watching the movie. The armour is fine, and the cape on him is great. Keep it up. Oh.. and the poem is nice to. I still cry when I think about it, sometimes. I'm quite pathetic that way.
