FanArt: Real-ish Inuyasha

Since we're doing portraiture in drawing class, I decided to see if I could draw an anime chara at least semi-realistically. Because I'm most familiar with Inu-chan here, I drew him. I think it came out alright. Drawn in 2H, shaded with 2B, color added on the computer. Wanted it to be reminiscent of a hand-tinted photograph, not quite happy with it in that respect.

Oh god! no way! i'm not saying the above because i don't like the picture-i do, realy- its just, well, inuyasha as a human!?!?a real human!?(actually, it would be quite nice if he was real...) but its just wrong! he looks so much better as a cartoonie character! don't you think? if you don't then ignore this comment because its just my opinion.
29 Dec 2005	Blade	Loading... Your art work is fine, with great potential, but I am about to be not so nice WARNING! ~ the nose is too big, and it looks flat. The eyes are spaced okay but check on how you did they pupils. And his lips look flat, stretched, nothing like Inu-Yasha really would have, but then, he is fifty-something, and we humans do tend to look funny after 40-plus years. Oh, yeah..... the hair is okay, but you have the potential to be 'GREAT!!!!!!' at hairstyles instead. Keep working. Abayo! (Yes, you may ignore me two)
